Dongfa Intelligent supplies DZ47LE Series Residual Current Protection RCBO for terminal distribution systems requiring combined circuit protection. The series covers 6A–63A rated current and supports multiple pole configurations, 30mA/50mA residual operating current, and C/D trip characteristics. It is suitable for lighting, socket circuits, commercial distribution, industrial control cabinets, and other terminal circuits requiring residual current, overload, and short-circuit protection.
The Dongfa Intelligent DZ47LE Series Residual Current Protection RCBO integrates residual current, overload, and short-circuit protection in one device. The product is designed for terminal distribution applications where these protection functions need to be provided within the same circuit protection device.
The series covers rated currents from 6A to 63A and is available in 1P+N, 2P, 3P, 3P+N, and 4P configurations. Rated residual operating current options include 30mA and 50mA, while C type and D type instantaneous trip characteristics are available for different load starting conditions.
Core Advantages
Three Protection Functions in One Device
The DZ47LE combines residual current protection, overload protection, and short-circuit protection in one device. This configuration allows the three protection functions to be handled within the same terminal protection unit.
30mA and 50mA Residual Current Options
The Residual Current Protection RCBO is available with rated residual operating currents of 30mA and 50mA. The appropriate specification can be selected according to the residual current protection requirements of the circuit and connected equipment.
C Type and D Type Trip Characteristics
Two instantaneous trip characteristics are available:
C type: 5-10In, generally used for conventional loads such as lighting and socket circuits.
D type: 10-14In, suitable for loads with higher starting current such as motors, transformers, and compressors.
Selection should be based on the starting characteristics of the connected load.
Multiple Pole and Current Configurations
The series supports 1P+N, 2P, 3P, 3P+N, and 4P configurations, with rated current options from 6A to 63A. These configurations allow the device to be matched with different terminal circuit arrangements.
2000A Residual Making and Breaking Capacity
The rated residual making and breaking capacity IΔm is 2000A. This value defines the specified making and breaking capability of the device under residual current fault conditions.
Factory Testing Before Shipment
Before shipment, each Residual Current Protection RCBO undergoes mechanical operation testing, residual current characteristic testing, and dielectric withstand testing. Residual operating current and operating time are checked according to the applicable product requirements.
Applications
Building Terminal Distribution
The RCBO can be used in terminal distribution circuits for residential and commercial buildings, including lighting, socket circuits, and other end-use circuits requiring combined protection.
Commercial Lighting and Socket Circuits
For shops, offices, commercial buildings, and similar facilities, the DZ47LE can be selected according to circuit current, residual current protection requirements, and the characteristics of the connected load.
Industrial Control Cabinets
The Residual Current Protection RCBO can be installed in industrial control cabinets and terminal distribution equipment. For motors, transformers, compressors, and other loads with higher starting current, the D type characteristic can be selected according to the load.
Distribution Boxes
The integrated protection functions make the DZ47LE suitable for distribution boxes where residual current, overload, and short-circuit protection are required within a compact terminal protection device.
Replacement and Electrical Retrofit Projects
For replacement or electrical retrofit projects, the existing breaker model, pole configuration, rated current, residual operating current, trip characteristic, mounting dimensions, and required quantity should be confirmed before production.

Protection Characteristics
Residual Current Protection
The rated residual non-operating current is 0.5IΔn. At rated residual operating current IΔn, the break time is ≤0.1s; at 2IΔn, it is ≤0.05s; and at 5IΔn, it is ≤0.04s. These residual current operating characteristics comply with the requirements of IEC 61009.
Overload Protection
Under the specified test conditions, the RCBO does not trip at 1.13In within 1 hour in the cold state. At 1.45In, it trips within 1 hour following the previous test condition.
Short-Circuit Protection
For overcurrent testing, 2.25In corresponds to a trip time of 1-60s for In≤32A and 1-120s for In>32A.
At 5In, the device does not trip within 0.1s for both C type and D type characteristics. At 10In, the C type trips within 0.1s. At 16In, the D type trips within 0.1s.

FAQ
1. What is the difference between an RCBO and an MCB?
An MCB provides overload and short-circuit protection. An RCBO additionally provides residual current protection, integrating these protection functions into one device.
2. What is the difference between an RCBO and an RCBC?
An RCBC provides residual current protection but normally requires a separate overcurrent protection device. An RCBO integrates residual current protection with overload and short-circuit protection in one unit.
3. How should 30mA and 50mA be selected?
Choose 30mA or 50mA according to the required residual current protection level and the application requirements of the protected circuit.
4. What is the difference between C type and D type?
C type has an instantaneous trip characteristic of 5-10In and is generally used for conventional loads. D type has a characteristic of 10-14In and is used for loads with higher starting current.
5. What information is required for an RCBO quotation?
Please provide the pole/wire configuration, rated current, rated residual operating current, trip characteristic, short-circuit capacity, and quantity. For replacement projects, the original model and mounting dimensions are also recommended.
6. What is the standard lead time?
Standard products generally require 7-15 working days, while customized products generally require 15-30 working days. The actual production schedule can be confirmed according to the product configuration.
7. Do you support factory audits?
Yes. Dongfa Intelligent operates its own manufacturing facility in Yueqing, Zhejiang, and supports factory audits. The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management system certifications.
